Top Model of Colour

TMC Goes International

Mahogany Directory

Top Model of Colour UK is now in its 5th year but things are changing as the TMC franchise expands.

In 2010 Top Model of Colour will be held in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Holland (Visit TMC Holland for further information), the Gambia and additional franchises are expected in a number of other countries across the world.

In terms of keeping the competition fresh we will be changing the format of the Grand Finale ensuring that it is a modelling competition and not seen as a beauty pageant.

The structure of the competition will ensure that the commercial models can compete on an equal footing with the high fashion models.

Contestants' attention is drawn to the competition's rules and regulations - acceptance of the rules and regulations is a condition for competing.

Previous winners

The winner of the women's competition 2009 was Paula. She is the first ever TMC winner to win the competition outside of the UK, which she won in the Gambia. Paula found herself in the modelling industry walking the runway for up and coming designers at the alternative fashion week where she had her first runway experience and ever since has been walking her way up to stardom and she found competing in TMC a life changing experience and another step towards becoming a supermodel.

The winner of the Men's competition 2009 was Emmanuel. He entered TMC as he sees there is a lack of models of ethnic origin within the industry therefore he aspires to take the modelling world by storm and to become a successful and world renowned top male model of colour.
